By investing in IAC-EZ as the affordable, effective, time-saving, and easy way to manage your business’ books, you will have freed up your time to focus on your business…
… And, you will have freed up your bookkeeper’s time as well. No longer will they be able to charge you a high hourly rate for easy work that can be virtually automated by IAC-EZ. So instead, we have compiled a list of things that your bookkeeper can do with their time since you won’t need their services anymore:
1. Take a vacation. A long vacation. They’ll have the time, now that you are running your bookkeeping through a simple online system that costs significantly less.
2. Become a bee keeper. The letters are pretty similar between “bookkeeper” and “bee keeper”, so they don’t have to invest in a new sign for their door. Simply erase one of the k’s and turn the o’s into e’s. (Oh, and they’ll have to trade in their calculator and pencils for those weird boxes that bees live in).
3. Advertise. After all, there might be someone, somewhere in need of a bookkeeper (although maybe not, once IAC-EZ becomes available to the public). Their jobs are no longer an “essential service” for all companies. Freelancers and small businesses now have an affordable and easy way to keep their books.
4. Do things around the house. Sometimes there are things around the house that need to get done but often get neglected – clean out the fridge, change a light bulb, etc. Bookkeepers should thank you for giving them the free time to get to all those things they were neglecting. And their calculators might make a handy way to prop up an uneven leg on a table.
5. Become a librarian. Different kind of bookkeeper. But at least they get to keep the title.
6. Become a hobo. Every bookkeeper dreams of becoming unchained from their desk and set free to wander wherever their whims take them. You will be doing your bookkeeper a favor by helping them to fulfill their dream.
I had to be the one to post this, because Heather (the accountant) did not find this at all funny.

…And all through the house… not a creature was stirring… not even my miniature poodle Doogie!
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone who celebrates! This is a spur of the moment blog post, not planned, not proofed by my writers (uh-oh!) and just me reaching out to everyone to wish them a very Happy Turkey Day and tell you all how excited I am about the launch in 4 days!
We had a meeting this morning – an ‘okay let’s get together and triage’ – at the meeting was myself, Cory Becker, Mike Gunderloy and Dana Jones. For those of you that don’t know – Cory, Mike and Dana are the coding geniuses behind IAC-EZ. Anywhoo.. so we had to decide what things we had to put off for a few days.
In other words – we have 4 days before launch – 40 things left to do – and can only handle half of them. That had to be one of the hardest things I had to hear in awhile. See, IAC-EZ started out as this simple concept in 2005 and slowly built into a ‘real’ concept in 2007. Then in 2008 it developed into a monster of an application – something so very simple to use, but had all these neat behind the scenes bells and whistles. For me, it was like going into the car dealership and hearing ‘you can have the power windows and the CD player, but the seat warmers are on back order’… oh how I really wanted those seat warmers!
Nonetheless… thanks to the guru’s mentioned above and long days (and even longer nights) we are on time with the launch with everything that was originally planned and then some. I am very excited and I hope you all are too!
Have a great day tomorrow and I hope that we can ring in the Holiday Season making everyones lives easier when it comes to bookkeeping.

Business owners or department managers need tools and techniques to help them become more successful. In this blog, I talk about 4 ways that IAC-EZ can make your business or department more successful:
1. Stop thinking about your books. Bookkeeping is a time- and effort-intensive project. And it’s ongoing. So the more you think about your books, the more time and effort you will spend on it. And, the more successful your business is, the more time and effort you will need to spend! IAC-EZ is the “EZ” way to stop spending so much time and effort on your books. IAC-EZ is fast and simple and lets you rapidly do your books and move on.
2. Spend more time thinking about your business. Smart businesses outsource and delegate their non-core activities so they can focus all of their resources on doing what they do as good as they can possibly do it. Although there can be a cost to outsourcing, by plowing a majority of your resources back into your business (instead of having them focused on bookkeeping) you will add more value to your products or services and enjoy more sales and happier customers. IAC-EZ does the “heavy lifting” in your bookkeeping, and it does it automatically! Just input the data, let IAC-EZ do the work, and grab useful reports when you need them.
3. Save money. Accountants and bookkeepers cost money. And although their services are valuable in some circumstances, you don’t need them for many day-to-day financial activities. Employing them to support you with regular updates and reports for those “business as usual” times is expensive. And when business booms, you’ll need to spend even more money to scale their hours up. Large businesses might be able to afford to scale up like that. But freelancers and small businesses can find those additional costs to be prohibitive or even detrimental! Small business owners and freelancers: IAC-EZ is your affordable alternative. For a small flat fee, your business can perform all bookkeeping functions easily and generate useful reports. Compare the hundreds of dollars you might spend each month on an accountant with the one-time $19.95 fee to sign-up at IAC-EZ.
4. Act decisively. By delegating your bookkeeping to a high-priced bookkeeper or accountant, you are giving up a large portion of your strategic decision-making opportunities. If you want to see what strengths or weaknesses exist in your business, you need the whole picture… and for part of that picture you have to go and explain to your accountant what you need and wait for him or her to generate a report. But with IAC-EZ, your bookkeeping is done quickly and easily and you get useful reports whenever you need them. This empowers effective decision-making without the hassle of phone calls, billed hours, and misunderstandings between you and your accountant. The power of your business is put back in your hands!

Moms are important! They gave birth to us; they made our lunches; and they always made sure we were wearing clean underwear. And, from time to time, they would take time out of their busy schedules to sit us down and have a talk – maybe about Santa, or about the birds and the bees, or about a particular boy whose attention we were trying to attract. In spite of her help, mom never sat us down for a little chat about bookkeeping.
If she had, this is what she would have said…
“There’s something important I need to tell you about. You didn’t like what I told you about Santa and you’re not going to like this either: There’s something called bookkeeping. Everyone has to do it – whether you do minor bookkeeping for your household finances or major bookkeeping for a business.
Some people like bookkeeping. We respect those people and we call them accountants – not geeks or nerds. Don’t ever let me hear you calling them those names or you’ll be grounded for a week. Although we always say nice things about them to their faces, they can be expensive, so it’s not realistic to hire them to do your bookkeeping.
But whether or not you like bookkeeping, you’ll probably have to do it at some point. And if you own a business – and I hope that you do because you’ll need to support your father and I in our old age – you’ll need to do some bookkeeping to keep your business running. On the pain scale, bookkeeping falls somewhere between getting stung by a bee and getting a needle from the doctor. A big needle. In the back. Like the one I got when I gave birth to you.
There’s lots of numbers and balancing and reporting and decision-making to be made. Bookkeeping can be time consuming and can distract you from the things you’d much rather be doing. But you can’t ignore it. It won’t go away. You have to do it. It’s sort of like when your father’s parents stay for a week each year. You need to get it out of the way so you can move on… but you always have that dread hanging over you.
But bookkeeping doesn’t have to be as bad I’m making it out to be. There are simple solutions that can make it better. For example, you can use online software that allows you to input your data and press submit, and out comes the report. It’s fast, safe, efficient, and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.
This will let you get the bookkeeping out of the way in a fast, painless way and let you focus on the parts of your business that you like to do.
So, don’t disappoint me, like your older brother is right now, and make your life simple. Oh, and don’t forget to wear clean underwear”.
Thanks Mom!
