FAQ: Why are some of my FreshBooks expenses coming into IAC-EZ as reimbursable expenses?
Any expense that’s assigned to a client is automatically brought into the Reimbursable Expenses category. Here’s the reason: When you expense something because of a client, it’s considered a “cost of goods sold” (since the only reason that expense exists is because of the client).
The proper category for this type of expense is Reimbursable Expenses because that is what they are. So any expenses that you have billed to a client would import as that. And any expenses not billed to a client would come in so you can categorize them.
