New Deposit accounts can be added under your Chart of Accounts Tab.
Step one: Go down to the Reconcile Deposit Accounts, and on that page click the Add New Account button.
Step two… oh. There’s only one step. Yes, it’s that EZ!
To add a subcategory, go to your “Chart of Accounts” page. Then click on the green “Add” symbol beside the main category. (When you hover over the “add” symbol, the hover tip will say “add new subcategory”)
Just fill in the name of the account, click add, and it will be there. It’s that EZ!

The chart of accounts is not able to be saved as a template. However if you had your chart of accounts set up for one franchisee the way you liked and opened up a new account for a second (or third or fourth, etc.) franchisee, just drop us an email and we would transfer/copy your chart of accounts to your new system manually for you. EZ!

We made the Chart of Accounts as comprehensive as possible but there are a bazillion different types of businesses out there so we also made the Chart of Accounts completely customizable. (Note: “bazillion” is not an official bookkeeping term). You can easily delete, edit and add accounts as you feel necessary. So, if you want to rename “Value Added Goods” to “Products for Resale” or “Merchandise Cost” or “Stuff-I-Buy-Then-Sell-Again”…you can!
